Wigan Town Centre
Wigan’s distinct neighbourhoods provide a multitude of investment opportunities from leisure and waterside development at the Pier Quarter to office, retail and hospitality in the town’s core.
Leigh Town Centre
Our vision for Leigh has been developed by focusing on 9 ‘Strategic Growth Areas’ across the town. Leigh town centre has a strong business and retail community with a thriving indoor market and a local catchment area of 120,000 people.
Wigan Pier Quarter
Wigan Pier Quarter is an iconic collection of buildings located on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal just to the west of Wigan town centre.
The site lies within the stretch of land that runs from the edges of Robin Park retail and leisure district, up towards the historic town centre.
Step Places has been chosen by Wigan Council, in partnership with the Canal & River Trust, to take forward Wigan’s flagship regeneration site with a world class vision to transform the historic Pier area into a striking modern visitor destination.
Westwood Park is a 22 hectare development site, a few minutes’ walk from Wigan Town Centre. The site is already home to global wet wipe manufacturer Nice-Pak International and Office Bay serviced offices.
South Lancs Industrial Estate
The South Lancs Industrial Estate (SLIE) is one of the borough’s largest concentrations of employment, with over 25 businesses. Over 11ha of industrial land has been developed on the new M6 Epic site. Now occupied by major international corporations.
Gibfield Business Park
Contemporary business space within a Woodland Park environment in close proximity to Junction 5 of the M61 and Junction 23 of the M6 with direct access to Wigan, Manchester and beyond.
The Woodland Park will include public, commercial and community uses, ancillary retail units, public art and appropriate landscaping.
Pemberton Business Park
The 12.95 ha business park is part of a new mixed use opportunity for business relocation, west of Wigan Town Centre. The site is adjacent to Phase 1 of Pemberton Business Park, an office village of 8640 sq. m. of new build accommodation.
Astley Business Park
Located close to the A580 East Lancs Road, one of the major arterial routes servicing Greater Manchester and Wigan. It is situated with excellent access to the M61, M62, M6 and M602 to Manchester City Centre.
South of Hindley
The development will look to create approximately 2000 new homes, 12 ha of employment space and a new road over a 20 year period, with 750 homes being built by 2026.
Located next to the canal and Pennington Flash Country Park. A draft masterplan has been produced for around 470 quality homes of varying types, together with open space, new play facilities, enhanced woodlands and canalside walks.
Wigan Council and its partners have plans to develop new homes and businesses and regenerate the waterfront around the Leeds Liverpool canal gateway. Many developments are already in place in the area including a new marina and transportation links.
Pocket Nook will be developed as a high quality, sustainable business park and housing settlement. The site will look to create around 350 new homes, 29 hectares of employment land and a new road.
Parsonage Retail Centre situated in Leigh, Greater Manchester and consists of 14 retail units totalling 230,000 sq ft. / 21,367m2.
M6 Epic provides 28.62 acres / 11.58 ha of industrial land with huge potential. Junction 25 of the M6 is only 2.5 miles away (5 minutes) and the M6/M62 interchange is 5.5 miles (10 minutes) away.
North Leigh Park
The 75 hectare site is allocated within the Council’s core strategy for housing and employment.
